Diabetes Information Day in Düsseldorf

On April 9, 2014 the German Diabetes Center (DDZ), a partner in the DZD, is organizing an information day for the third time. Current developments in the field of diabetes research and the findings of the German Diabetes Study will be presented. The participants will have the opportunity to undergo diabetes-related examinations.

The presentations of the DDZ diabetes experts will cover a wide range of topics including nutrition, retinopathy and neuropathy as well as cognitive impairments. In addition, visitors can have their body fat percentage and their HbA1c value determined, their blood pressure measured and their ocular fundus photographed to detect any incipient damage to the retina. And visitors won’t go hungry – a “learning buffet” will be offered and physical exercises will be demonstrated.
The event will take place from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the DDZ, Auf'm Hennekamp 65, in Düsseldorf.
