DZD Experts at 2nd Middle German Diabetes Day

At the 2nd Middle German Diabetes Day (2. Mitteldeutscher Diabetestag) on Saturday, March 5th, scientists of the DZD will hold talks and answer questions by the attendees, who will include both the interested public and people with diabetes. The public event is organized by the DZD partner the Paul Langerhans Institute of Helmholtz Zentrum München at the University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus of TU Dresden (PLID) and the German Diabetes Aid – People with Diabetes, Regional Association Middle Germany (DDH-M-LVMD).

In advance of the event, Prof. Dr. Andreas Birkenfeld gave an interview for the newspaper Sächsische Zeitung entitled "Diabetes Is Preventable" on the disease diabetes mellitus and its manifestations as well as the current state of research.

An extensive program of lectures and workshops will take place at the Center for Regenerative Therapies on Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. (Program. See also our News from January 13, 2016.)
