DZD Scientists on "Food Check with Tim Mälzer"

In the broadcast on August 29th of the TV program "Food Check with Tim Mälzer" the TV chef discussed the issue of how much sugar is good for us. The DZD scientists Prof. Matthias Tschöp, Prof. Hubert Preißl and Prof. Andreas Pfeiffer were among the experts on the program.

As is stated on the ARD website: "Our sugar consumption is enormous. In1900, we Germans ate on average 12 kilograms of sugar per year, today the amount is more than 31 kilograms. Tim Mälzer wants to know: Why do we find sweet foods and beverages so irresistible?".
