Optimal Management of Diabetes – Experts Answer Questions about Diabetes

Germany-wide Telephone Q & A Session on November11th

The number of diabetes cases has now reached almost epidemic proportions: Almost one in ten persons in Germany suffers from the disease. On World Diabetes Day in November, the metabolic disease will once again be the center of attention. On November 11th the German Center for Diabetes Research and the Competence Network Diabetes Mellitus will host a Germany-wide Q & A session to meet the high need for consultation of those affected by the disease and their family members. Experts from the universities and diabetes research centers in Dresden, Düsseldorf, Giessen, Hannover, Leipzig, Munich, Tübingen and Ulm will be available from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm to answer questions via the free, Germany-wide hotline 0800-060 4000. The focus of this year’s campaign will be on prevention, development, therapy and the complications of type 1and type 2 diabetes as well as dealing with diabetes in everyday life and mental illness that may occur in connection with diabetes.
