State of the Art Conference on Stem Cells in July in Dresden

July 18-20, 2012 Dresden will host a state of the art conference on Stem Cell Biology with high relevance to type 1 diabetes. The 4th International Congress on Stem Cells and Tissue Formation starts with a 1.5 day symposium on the dynamics of stem cell heterogeneity and stem cell fate decisions, followed by 1.5 days of parallel sessions on diabetes, hematopoietic stem cells, and neural stem cells. 
The conference, including the Diabetes component promises to be the highlight 2012 meeting in the field. The DZD member Ezio Bonifacio is among the three organizers of the meeting. Other DZD scientists participating at this conference include Heiko Lickert, head of the Institute of Diabetes and Regeneration Research at the Helmholtz Center Munich, and Michele Solimena, head of the Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden (PLID). The DZD is among the supporting institutes of the congress.
