DZD Professor Jens Brüning awarded Heinrich Wieland Prize 2019

Professor Jens Brüning, Director at the Max Planck Institute for Metabolic Research in Cologne and Associate Partner of the German Centre for Diabetes Research (DZD), was awarded the Heinrich Wieland Prize. He received the award for his groundbreaking research on how the brain controls the body's energy metabolism. The prize of the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation is endowed with 100,000 euros.
