Herzig won the award endowed with 7,500 euros for his publication in the field of hepatology "microRNA-379 couples glucocorticoid hormones to dysfunctional lipid homeostasis” (The EMBO Journal, February 2015).
The award was presented on June 26, 2015 during the 12th HepNet Symposium of the German Liver Foundation. The award of the German Liver Foundation was donated by the company Norgine GmbH, Marburg.
