The journal 'Laborjornal' based its ranking on the "Web of Science" database of Clarivate Analytics. Their publication analysis includes papers published between 2008 and 2017 by one or more authors from German-speaking countries. The top ten of the most cited authors are also dominated by researchers from Helmholtz Zentrum München, with Prof. Dr. Christa Meisinger, Research Group Clinical Epidemiology, in 3rd place. Of the ten most cited original papers, three were produced with the participation of KORA (Kooperative Gesundheitsforschung) of the Augsburgian region. KORA is the research platform of Helmholtz Zentrum München for investigating the connections between health, illness and living conditions.
